The Accessibility for Ontarions with Disabilities Act, 2005 is the first of its kind in Canada.
Persons with disabilities should have the same opportunities as those who do not have disabilities. This is the goal of Ontario’s legislation. Businesses and organizations – like the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board – who provide goods and services to people in Ontario are required to meet certain accessibility standards in five important areas:
